The team

Two people, one studio

We've been friends for an incredible amount of time. Ki10 Games is what happened when we finally decided to do something about it.

Mark McManus

Design & QA

Mark is the QA veteran of the two of us, with nearly a decade spent making sure other people’s games are as polished as they are fun. Turns out that’s excellent training for spotting everything wrong with your own.

On Ki10 projects he handles game design and systems. The camera rig, the quest and map tracking, the moment to moment feel of a thing. He also writes most of the devlogs, including the one about how a childhood injury and a copy of Crash Bandicoot started all of this.

Art & World Building

Scott is the lead artist and world builder, and the reason any of this is worth looking at. Characters, environments, logos, UI. If it made it onto the screen, it came through him first.

He’s also the source of most of the good ideas that turn up disguised as scope creep. The creature garden in KIT started life as one of his "just hear me out" pitches, and it stayed.

How we work

Everyone does everything

Two people can't afford strict job titles. We both end up with a hand in most areas of development, and we both learn the parts we're rubbish at.

Ship the small thing

Skill Check exists because we decided to finish something instead of perfecting it. It taught us more than another year of prototyping ever would have.

Write it all down

The devlogs cover the mistakes as well as the milestones. It keeps us honest, and it's a lot more useful to read than a highlight reel.

Say hello

Press, partnerships, or you just want to tell us a trivia answer was wrong. We read everything.
